A thought on relationship

I probably have written how Gan and I met back in 2012, but just for the record (again), we've known each other for over 5 years and has been in a relationship for 3 years and 9 months!

Never have I imagined being in a serious and steady relationship for such a long time. Plus, to be honest, 3 years felt so short yet so long! At times we would look at each other and just wonder how awesome and blessed is our journey through the years as a couple, as bestfriend, as fighters.

Let me just roughly (hopefully roughly) lay out how we journey as - first - a couple:
We love each other very much. The joy we experience in this relationship comes from the blessings released by our parents. Also, as we focus more on Abba, our joy increases too! We encourage one another without withholding the truth we need to hear (even if it's painful).

As bestfriends: Since we heavily stress on honesty between us, we don't keep secrets from one another. We know each other so well that we would know if something is wrong even by looking at our countenance!

One thing that I love about us is that WE TALK. Sometimes we do have times where we're just comfortable being silence with each others' presence, but we talk about MANY things. Random things, deep stuffs, controversial stuffs, funny/lame stories, silly stuffs, even to trivial matters.

Last but not least, we also journey as fighters. We are not street fighters (you know, those who fight publicly in the street. Side note: OK this is one of those lame jokes I put my effort in without realizing it haha..), but whenever we got into a fight -be it passive or active fight- we would fight for the truth. You know the time when your ego got the best of you in a fight, say disagreement? It happens to us as well and most of the time we would use words (and even harsh, cold silence) to fight the other person. However, I'm thankful that we stick to the truth that helps bring us closer to understand and hence, love each other.

For instance, I would normally be the one who uses silence to defend myself (and indirectly fight) from being hurt/offended by Gan. Gan, being the verbal one and likes to settle things well, will probe me to open up and come out of my cave. Normally I wouldn't bug (such a cave girl laa), but when he would remind me about what the fight would cost, and how it would give foothold to the enemy to put a wedge between us, I would go "Ya, that's true. And I don't want that to happen."
Yet, in the beginning of our relationship, it was very hard for me to open up and share how I feel, but as the years passed by it got easier and I know how to share better.

Same goes to Gan. When he got away with his feeling, I learned how to NOT cave in but to communicate it properly. It's always always good to communicate from the heart, and not just to avoid further conflict (yet still hold grudges).

We fight. But during the fight, we are aware that we are also fighting for the truth.
The ultimate question is this: Is the fight for the truth worth fighting for?
I would definitely say YES!

Nothing sets us free than knowing that we love each other so much that we would fight for the truth. When we are free, we are more able to love each other with a love that doesn't shrink in fear but stands firm in the face of fear.

I love my bestfriend, and I thank God we found each other.

Kundasang, here we come!

Our youth group had a short 2D1N trip up to one of the most visited places in Sabah - Kundasang. It's cold and very close to the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Here are some of the places we visited during the trip. This post is going to be more pictures displayed than words.

"A picture worth a thousand words."

First day: Canopy walk in Poring, Ranau

Entrance fee for the main entrance is RM3 for adult and RM1 for students. Canopy walk fee is another RM3 (adult) and RM1.50 (Student). Not to forget RM5 per camera/handphone camera. (Although I have doubts how will they be sure people won't take out their phone in the middle of the canopy walk teehee :))

The first of the five canopy-walk trails. It starts out with a reasonable height.

Strong and sturdy tree. Wonder how old it is.

Took this on our last stretch of canopy walk. Finger serves as a standard to show how tall the tree is! It's soooo tall! I must admit that it is quite daunting to look straight down. Feels like you're a step from falling. *gulp!*

Canopy walk: checked!

We checked in our Asparagus Cabin in Kiram's Village, Mesilau at about 3PM. It's a two-storey cabin with two toilets, a kitchen (with kitchen utilities, refridgerator, stove, gas), a living room, a dining area, balcony, and 4 bedrooms. For 12 people (18 max with extra mattresses). It's quite cold during the time of our visit.
Picture: Habel, Nina and Paul were starting up the barbecue and some chickens on the grill.

Jeremiah and Faye beating the cold by switching their jackets. Yeap

Our humble but filling dinner prepared by Ninawau and team.

Our view in the morning as we do our morning devotion. Super love the serenity this place delivers!

Some woke up earlier than the rest, so we decided to go for a walk out from the Village.

Kiram's Village offers a range of cabins with really cute name of vegetables. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to wind down, relax and just soak in the nature. Perfect for family. Oh, they also have restaurant that serves quite a variety of food like fried rice, etc.

Jamming sessions with the bright sound of ukulele.

Sunday service at the cabin. :)

Paid a visit at Desa Dairy Farm, Kundasang.

Can you spot the hidden Mickey? ;)

OMG.... Rosemary!!!!!!!

So that concludes our short trip to Kundasang. Although it wasn't long, I personally think it's just nice for a nice time of fellowship as well as relaxing and enjoyable!

Hike + Relationship

I once told Gan that his blog is haunted because it's outdated. I chuckled as I stand in that same spot now, too. My last post was, I  think, about 1 year ago. Seriously honestly, I have only been blogging in this brain of mine. If that's not the case, then it will be journalism. Have I mentioned how I loooooove journaling?? Contrary to what people said, journalism is more than a therapeutic thing to do. The spiritual journal that I have is precious conversation between me and Abba. It's a safe place for me to express myself. Spiritual journalism helped me in a tremendous way. Being an introvert, words are many in my brain than in speech (although I have somehow learned to become extrovert in a way, at times, I do get wordy. P.s.- Gan can testify this hoho)

There was once when I was at a low point, I felt a nudge to read up one of my earliest journal book back in 2009. It was mind-blowing and eye-opening! God has been so so rich in His goodness. I read and read, and although it was written by me, it felt like Abba was consoling me over and over again. I couldn't help but broke down in tears. Even words are so limited to describe that moment.

These few weeks I am reminded again of His favor. That He, stedfastly, is with me. Yesterday, our youth group went for a hike to the Crocker Range. What I thought to be a 3-hours hike turned out to be 4-hours hike. My last, long hike was years ago and so, I felt like an old grandma going up the hill by foot (okay, maybe not as old as a grandma, but my point is - IT'S TIRING)

When we started, it was easy and fun. Then it became challenging as we hike to a higher altitude. Soon, we began panting heavily. The too-relaxed-muscles began to work and contract. As we reached a stretch of palm trees, Fenella said, "This is Forgetful Green!" Now, Forgetful Green she referred to was a place in a book that she just read, where people tend to forget their main purpose/focus/destination. Often, it was because of the attractions of the surrounding or influences that distracts. As we hike further up, it became clear that we need to rest. We continued for the steeper slope and just longing to reach our destination. After 2 full hours, we finally made it!

Life is as such. There are times to walk on, time to slow down, time to rest. However, I learned that the journey is worth it because of the destination that awaits, the company around us that encourages and God's presence that assures & empowers.

(When we reached our destination during the hike, the funny thing was this: Fenella said OK now it's times for us to go back because God says our job is not done yet! haha..)

Moving on...

Today -  marks 2 full years with Gan (YAY!). He is my bestfriend and a man that is after God's heart (and after my heart. No no, I'm kidding. But not really kidding.) I remembered when I first met him, being only as friends, I was being very, very stereotypical about relationship. Like, VERY. I would intelligently predict his motives based on his actions and tried to make conclusion in my brain that his true color would show over the time. Ugh. Ugly truth but, that was how it started. Nevertheless, he was amazingly calm (or, look calm) and wasn't being defensive. That was one of the reasons when I realized he was a very friendly, good guy. We get along well and became good friends.

[Long story cut short] After some years of friendship, prior to going in a relationship, he met with my parents for blessing. Now, let me tell you - this wasn't our custom. Normally, boys and girls hook up with anyone, without anyone's knowing. (I can testify to this, too) So I had some time of my own to process this when Gan brought it up. The day came when he sat down with my parents and dined together. And talked. And it was a good night. I didn't expect to have such a feeling, at that moment. Not only we were already officially a couple, but there was something more. He honored my parents. And that is one thing that I am truly grateful for!

There was ups and downs in our relationship. Needless to say, this is totally normal in any relationship. I would say, in short, over the 2 years, we have learned to respect one another, communicate better, encourage one another better, speak truth to one another, pray for one another and love one another. And I know both of us would say, this would not have been possible if Abba is not in it. In fact, being both leaders, our big heads got bigger sometimes, and there are numerous times when we felt that Abba is teaching us to be humble to one another. Now "that" is something powerful in a relationship. If we are not humble, either one of us will have dominion over the other (And we are no Adam & Eve or whatsoever). Thank You, Abba...

Wow, I would never thought I would write this down in a post. However, I thought it will somehow bless others. So, be blessed!

One of the best feelings

Dad went to Europe for two weeks earlier this month and sometimes he send us updates, pictures and even videos. Things were fine and smooth here and also there but still, I found myself missing him a bit. When the earthquake struck weeks ago, one of the first batch of people I informed was my dad and mom and of course, Gan (as he was in KL at that time). I wanted dad to know how we are doing and not to worry much. The first thing in my mind was to eliminate any worries for him (also for them).

Mannn. The earthquake was unbelievable to me. I never ever thought it would hit this land (since its not apart of the ring of fire and stuffs like that). That morning was one of the mornings I would remember well. I was in a deep sleep when suddenly, the house walls begin to move back and forth, shaking steadily strong. I literally jumped out of bed as I know it was not a dream (not that I ever had an earthquake in a dream before). I heard a shout from the kitchen and the next thing I know, I was outside the house, watching for any possible danger. Praise God, it was a brief quake.

And of course, on that day itself, everyone in Sabah (And I'd like to believe, Malaysia) mourns for the deaths of some courageous mountain guides and climbers due to the quake. It was a brief quake for me, but, it was brief and powerful enough to take lives of some people. I cried when I heard of the loss of these dear people although I didn't know any of them. Especially the mountain guides.

p.s. - Looking forward for the charity concert dedicated to the mountain guides this weekend. Sales from the tickets will all go the MG right away (and this can be assured as the charity concert was a joint effort of various local artists and they willingly organised this without getting any payment! Salute!) Always wanted to contribute something for them, apart from prayers. You can come and join too!

As we waited for dad's arrival, we found out that his flight has been delayed and hence, he will only arrive two days later than we expected.

I never knew this before but, one of the best feelings was when Dad came home safely. Couldn't help but to hug him. There was such a relief at that point of time. More than getting the souvenirs from him, I treasure his presence more.

I guess that's how it is when we are with our heavenly Father. When we feel his tangible presence, deep and loving enough to make us feel whole, secure and full of joy. No words are needed. Just His presence alone.

Humility

God has been very gracious by being with us in our devotion time in class. We've (I've) learned a lot about humility the past one week. Here's some precious truths about being HUMBLE:

  • Humility says, "More of you, less of me"
  • Humility birthed true obedience. Philippians 2:8 "... he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death..."
  • Being humble doesn't mean you're weak. It means you trust God enough that you choose not to rely on yourself/ your own understanding.
  • Humility relates greatly to servanthood. You can't be humble if you're not willing to serve others and ultimately - God.
  • Humility is not self-conscious or self-exalting.
  • True humility is motivated by true love.
  • Being humble doesn't make you weak. It makes you strong and have confidence.
  • True humility is the opposite of pride. And pride is the ultimate reason for Satan's downfall. Think.

Dancing with me Amor

I don't think I'm the only one experiencing this in my spiritual journey with God. Yesterday, I felt like I'm on the verge of bursting. Its as if I'm carrying this whole loads of burden and pressure that makes me feel somewhat - low.

At that low point, I couldn't find a way to rejoice or even feel His closeness. It was about time to go for prayer meeting and my mind tells me, "You can skip one night. It's OK."

At that low point, I was negotiating within my brain - to go or not to go.

At that low point, I was ready to give in to my reasoning and physical emotions.

But somehow, I knew. I knew where I should be at that moment. In His house. In His presence.
So before my human mind made up its mind, I take control of every thought and decided to go.

As soon as we enter into a time of worship, God began working in me. The tears are flowing as if they are waiting to be released into the open. I felt His hands embracing me and restoring me. I could feel His love dancing over me, inviting me to dance with Him. And so it continued, for what it seems for more than an hour. In His deep, tangible presence. And at the end, I knew. I was restored. The tears that flowed out was replaced by living water - Jesus Himself. The burden was lifted. Or it became lighter. And I heard Him saying, "Look to me. Fix your eyes upon me." In a serious tone. Like a loving Father saying to a helpless child.

And then I knew. I was rest assured. He is always with me. And the joy of knowing that, and His unstoppable love, is beyond ah-ma-zing !

Come before God (not man) and cry out to Him (not man) for what person could be more better than the One who loved us first?
And I can tell you that you can smile before man. And any situations seems bearable simply because that joy in you weighs more than your problems and situations.

Love,
Nethy

First Fruit Gathering: 4-6 June

Sabah is known to be the land below the wind. I love Sabah. I thank God for putting me here. I always know that the birthplace of everyone is never a coincidence. (If things are coincidence, then our existence is a mistake. Coincidence means something that is not planned. Then, we are actually saying that God is a mistake!) No, God is SUPREME AND JUST. To begin to understand God fully is like trying to fit in the whole oceans into a small hole. Its impossible. Yet, this same God created us and called us His Precious! His thoughts toward us are so vast and mind-blowing. David said that in the book of Psalm : "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They are innumerable! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!"

Our God is intentional when He decided to create you and me. So that He can love us unconditionally. We are not an accident. Isn't that awesome? If I were to have children, I would make sure they know this foundation truth! I am thankful for a mother who intentionally told me about this truth as I was growing up.

So, all of us are placed on earth for a purpose and calling. Last month we have the second Malaysia Gathering in KL. The theme was First Fruit. During the pre-gathering, I felt an unspeakable excitement and burning in me because I know for sure God is going to do something that we have not expected. True enough, we entered into realm after realm that we have not entered before. The first day of the gathering, the first people of the land (Anak Negeri & Orang Asli) was presented before the Lord. Its amazing to see a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ among the Orang Asli, Chinese and Indians turned up. Its a family reunion! :)

The gathering starts on 4 June night, and it falls exactly on Pentecost! The leaders didn't know about this when they decided on the date. Holy Spirit came and swept us away for the next three days. Papa David shared about be careful when the enemy is trying to put us in a neutral zone, where we don't slip black nor move forward. This is what its called as the attack of dullness. I was reminded in Revelation 3:15 "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other!" Nothing is more worse than being lukewarm. Also, there is an ancient sound in the land that the enemy has forgotten. This ancient sound is the voice of the Orang Asli and the Anak Negeri. Now is the time for this sound to rise up and take authority in the spiritual realm. The enemy fear this sound. We also offered up our first fruit offering which is our worship and praise as we consecrate ourselves before the Lord simply because He is worthy of all the praise!

On the second day of the gathering, spiritual groaning took place during worship. At first there was an intense silence but the moment the flute came in, people started to weep, travail, and groan in the spirit. Romans 8:26 says " We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." It was unexpected but Holy Spirit knows best. I personally also felt that the atmosphere of the convention centre is almost similar to a labor room. Something was birthed that day.
There was a Scripture passage given to the people in Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia for 3 times. The leaders felt that if God is speaking about it for 3 times, it means something. This passage was Isaiah 54. Hence, all the leaders did a prophetic act of enlarging the tent, stretching the tent curtains wide, lengthening the cords, and strengthening the stakes. It speaks to the spiritual and spiritual realm that the land is no longer barren but it will be fruitful!

On the last day, 6 June 2014, it is a new day. It is a new season. The Lord has been leading us is an unusual way. We have not walked this way before. Papa David mentioned that we are in a season where many prophets are speaking of. This new thing, or season, is not only for Malaysia but for nations. However, because of Malaysia's role for nations, this is a pivotal and critical moment for Malaysia to enter into her destiny. We need to positioned ourselves before the Lord, like an army positioned themselves until their commander gives the command. As an army of God, we reported for duty. And because the things that we do speaks loudly in the spiritual realm, we need to make a sacrifice of faith that says "We believe!" When people of God began to see and hear with their spiritual eyes and ears, there will be a substance that will cause them to move forward.
"Behold! The bride of Malaysia is marching to the nations, following the Lion of Judah!"

Indeed, the gathering birthed something new in Malaysia. And whenever there's a new season, there's joy and wisdom, but there's also resistance. Therefore, the most important thing is to keep on track with God, fix our eyes upon Him and constantly be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

Lord, I report for duty.

Your servant.

p.s.- 6 June was also my baptism(or I prefer wedding) day. I was reminded of this only after the gathering.

Life.

Life's not fair. That is one of the most favorite phrase people love to say.
But if life is fair, then it is not life anymore. As much as we get frustrated with life, God has much much to offer us, IF we only take heed of His Words. Everything was broken since the major incident in garden of Eden. So basically, its not a surprise that we have this so-called 'unfair' life.

Some of us are born rich, some poor and some average. Some were born with a genius mind, etc. But all of us were created in God's image. So you have totally NO SAY or be PROUD of what you have. Not even lucky! God planned it all. But here's the interesting part, you see... Every obstacle in life, consider it an opportunity for a greater JOY! The problems or difficulties that you are facing with right now is actually an opportunity for you to grow. After that problem is solved, then it will become a blessing to those who hears it.

The topic we had earlier today in class is one topic that you don't get often. It reveals what your heart's content is. And yes, it opens up my eyes in a new light. After understanding it, you can't even comprehend the depth, the length, the height and the width of Father's heart for His children. After learning and taste a bit of the Father's heart, life makes more sense in knowing that His love is unconditional, strengthens you and brings tremendous healing!

GB = Graduation + Birthday

Hello November! Nice to meet you. ^^
I know I'm totally late for an October post. But still, I wanna mention two highlights of what and how October went (in a nutshell). I will go briefly specifically.(i just tend to be a lengthy writer at times.)

1. Graduation.
   - 3 years of being a biotech undergraduate
   - Having the opportunity to officially graduate feels awesome. I couldn't believe how the years have passed    by so fast!
   - I love my family. =) I hope I made them proud.
How u spell Family = Father and mother, i love you. =)

2. Birthday
   - So, I haven't really decided how to celebrate my birthday this year actually. My parents decided to 'makan2' at home in conjunction of both success (age and scroll). A big one. I thought not many are coming but it turns out mannnyy. Families... And I'm so grateful to have most church members came that night. One family in Christ, indeed. =)
   - Later on,the night before the day, i went out with my high school besties. There were 5 of us (wish Gloria could join us!) and 3 of us planned a surprise for 2 of us (me & Geraldine). Our birthdays were just 3 days apart.. It was a lovely surprise in Bali Bali Garden. Thanks for the gift! ^^ The waitress came out with the cake after we are done with dinner. Along with the band singing a Happy Birthday song. I just didn't expect they would surprise me in such a public way. haha!
From left: Ellie, Eca, Geraldine, me & Mel

Eca: my childhood friend, neighbour, teman satu bas skolah, teman main masak2 masa kici (masak Maggie sampai kering tu air. haha!), classmate, schoolmate, ketawa-mate and bestmate.
Mel: pengawas yg nampak garang, classmate, schoolmate, gengkaras-mate and bestmate.
Ellie: teman seperjuangan di zaman kegemilangan/zaman keremajaan, fashionista (you really have to give me credit on this. haha), classmate, encouraging-mate and bestmate.
Geraldine: Pustakawan paling kiut time highschool, classmate, geng karas-mate, Uni mate (We graduated in UMS at the same time) and bestmate.
Thank you so much! Words can't describe it. And sometimes my actions may not describe it too. But I truly am blessed to have you girls! *groupie hugs* =)
   - One church leader happened to be there with his family at that time. So I cut some cakes for them as well. He is also watching the whole surprise thingy going on. Hohohoh..
   - So anyway, after that my friends dared me to sing on stage with the band. I thought of it lightly at first but then thought, Why Not? So I did. As an appreciation of what they have done, I sang LOVE by Frank Sinatra. The band was awesome. We had great time. ^^ We hit Party Play later on for desserts (choc fondant! #yumness)
   - On the night of the real day, I went out with my Uni friends. There, again, I had a second surprise! I thought there was no cake or whatsoever, since we did a surprise a week ago for Sue. When I first arrived at the scene, they were singing me birthday song, so i thought there might be a cake prepared. But there isn't any! Then Acho pulled out his SG Tab and open a candle application. Yessss...that's what you thought it is. I am supposed to blow a digital candle. How impressive is that? XD It did blowed out like a normal candle though. Without the heat and smoke, of course. haha!
-While we were talking and chit chatting as we wait for our meals, Acho and Sue came with this cake that came out from nowhere (well, actually, its from my left side XD) and they were singing birthday song to me again (for the second time of the night!)
   -  I laughed my heart out that night. Thanks for the humor. I love the big orange card without pictures on it! Especially the music notes. Pretty! =)
(left) me, Sue, Acho - (right) Mc, Annas, Kenny

Oyoe was the funniest that night without even intending to be funny. Owh! Dan photographer berjaya! Ko break record gambar2 yg diambil sebelum ini. XD
Kenny, as always, the organizer and main planner. (After all, we were partner in crime a week ago. hehe..)
Annas, the cheerful one. Always with the smile and gentleness. tapi beware...garagas mati kopio oi.. :p hehe..
Sue, ko la paling macam Mama2 tapi paling innocent. Tapi, ko juga la partner in crime ni kali. haha.
Acho, thank you sebab susah2 bwa tu kek dri kadai. haha. And also sbab jaga kawan sia bagus2..hehehe..
Mc, thank you sbab sudi turun n celebrate with us!  X sia2 ko dtg, byk mknan dan hiburan yg menyenangkan hati. hohoho.. Plus, jumpa teman sebangsa ko lagi tu (trus kami jadi blur =.=")!

In a nutshell, Thank you, uri chinggu ya! Posting this post is what I can do to show my gratitude (again!).
God bless y'all! My sincere prayer is that let the friendship sustain through eternity! =)

Be blessed,

Ian & Elda

The wedding ceremony has taken place in Maranatha church more than a week ago.
I hadn't got the time to blog about this up 'till now and here I go about their BIG day!

Congratulation to Mr and Mrs Ian & Elda on their wedding day (8sept2012) !!
I am sincerely happy for you guys. ^^
I've known her since forever. She's one of my closest cousin, sister and bestfriend. We shared things together, stories, secrets, food (it depends), accessories, clothing (erm no, not really), car (i drove hers and she, well, don't drive mine. hehe!) and etc. I love going to her house and play when we were small. She was the quiet type during those times but playful as well (remember Datuk Harimau??;)). I recall back when I was celebrating my birthday in my house, she had this really really short hair and skinny back then!

All the ups and downs, tears and laughters...
It has been a long way down the memory lane.
Now she's married! To Ian the man! =)
I have to say that their wedding is the best wedding I've ever witnessed. I was already tearing up when she was handed over. I guess I was very happy for her.
I love the ceremony. I love the atmosphere. I love the meaningful vows they've spoken to one another. Its like, heaven stopped, and everyone is watching them. I know God has blessed them. =)
And the wedding is exactly like how I imagined a wedding should be.
Schoolmates. Now turned husband and wife. Talking about destiny huh. ;)
Here goes the pictures. (Courtesy of Jofanna Bridal.)

Congratulation again guys!

Blessed Good Friday!

You know Good Friday doesn't mean that friday is good, right? Here I am, after a long time of silence in this blog, just wanna share about what God's goodness. Not only on friday, but everyday...

Busyness. its a word not all people likes. I am one of them. But like it or not, I am bound to finish my lab work ASAP. So, the night before friday i went to lab and work there overnight. As i was driving to campus that evening, I was talking to God casually, speaking in tongue and just talk, in other words - pray. I was reflecting on what He has done on the cross 2012 years back. As i was praying, i realized how much i miss Him. thinking back, my life had been so busy. I truly misses Him.

When i finished my work in lab at 7AM (Yes, a sleepless night indeed), i went home and had only a nap. Then, we went to church for Good Friday service at 10AM. We are all fasting and praying on that day. In the beginning, i wasn't feeling that sleepy. But when it comes to afternoon, it seems almost automatically that my eyes shuts down itself. It was after a testimony that i felt my spirit began to stir slowly. Pastor realized many people are sleepy during that time and she said Do not sleep but try to activate your spirit! I was very sleepy at that moment. Very2 sleepy. I try to ignore my tiredness but i just couldn't help it. But slowly, one at a time, my spirit was being stirred without me realizing it. When we worship that afternoon, i remember myself just giving thanks for Jesus' blood. But as i keep on repeating and giving thanks, something took over me. I felt its as if my SOUL is giving thanks to Him in a great manner. I was overwhelmed! I quickly took a tambourine and began to shake it. As we go more into the worship atmosphere, very quickly, my sleepiness seemed to subside for the time being and i felt my innerman craving for more and more of Him. God is awesome!!

That is why I am a strong believer in God Almighty. (Okay now she's preaching u might say but can u help it if u're in looove with someone? U must tell ur friends or wait, tell the world, right? Now same to this case of mine.) As problems come and as people come and go, guess what, God is faithful. It is just His nature and nothing can beat that. Not even a boyfriend or a husband or a bestfriend. How i wish people could realize that and began to see Him through the problems. God is awesome. What I experienced yesterday only brought me closer to Him.

I hope what I'm sharing here is clear. When my sleepiness was stronger than my desire to worship Him that afternoon, I slowly come to Him JUST AS I AM. As i give thanks to Him, I was only speaking it out but my mind still in a state of exhaustion. However, when i press on (Yes, press on), something happened. My mind and thoughts were brought to captives to the mind of Christ! And as evening comes, I was soaked with gratitude. The cross. His blood. His love for us all. :)

God bless and be blessed!

Wednesday, February 15

I am in love. Period.

I had a great time recently in my prayer time. God has been faithful. There are so many things that He revealed to me. And i am so so SO much grateful. Indeed, i am in love with Jesus more than before. My life couldnt've been better without Him.

Having Him in my life feels just... hmm..awesome... :)

Today is valentine's day. There are people who celebrate this day. Some don't. Some people even argued regarding this day. As for me, i have no feeling at all. It didn't bother me if i celebrate it or not...since i am already in love every day with Him. ^^ There's a verse in Scripture that says "I (God) have loved you with an everlasting love." What a wonderful statement!

Here's a song that express how my heart overflows right now. Peace. Secured. Loved. And i believe there is more than life... It's a song sang by Kari Jobe called "I'm in Love With You". Be blessed. :)

Can I sing You a song
Can I pour out my heart
To say Your love is healing me
Just a glimpse of Your grace
And my whole world is changed
Forever and completely

I’m in love with You
I’m in love with You
I’m in love with You
I’m in love with You

Redeemed, made whole
By the love that You have poured out over my soul
Restored, I am made new
Father You only You

Islandscape!

Thank U Lord for this day... Going to the island is really a good thing if u wanna have a total relax/fun time, away from the business of city and life. And its more precious when you're going with your loved ones.

If you're wondering why I love being on island and why i like posting such a thing, its because I am just simply loving it and sharing it won't bite, no? ;-)

We were indecisive whether its going to island or Karambunai, since the news reported that the weather is not safe. However, due to our motivation and the surprisingly sunny weather, we decided to head off to JP and ask if its safe to go. Eventually, we went there to the counter and the next thing we know (without asking if its safe or not) we paid the fees and Mamutik...here we go~! :D
My nephew Joha was with us too. Its his first time going to the island (he didn't even know what an island is at first). When i first asked him where are we going, he thought we are going to the swimming pool or rather, "Kulam". hah..so cute..

Fast forward...

Had a great time at Mamutik! Went snorkelling with Debbie but I didn't go too far coz for goodness sake, Bleached corals are everywhere! And my feets are hurting from stepping on them. And its not much too see either. Apart from bleached corals, there are tiny, nice, identical fishes as well. It was GOOOOD just being in the water though. And we had a good time scrubbing ourselved with the sands near the sea. After 'em off, our skins feel super soft and clean. (The wonders of sandbeach huh. Excluding Tanjung Aru's sands. Those are, like, potential danger to the skin.)

Went back around 2PM and since its so hot, we grab some Veda ice-creams. Tastes so good~ yum yum... Took a group photo of us using timer and so, here it is...

T-camp Tambunan 2011

9-11 December
Venue: SIB Pekan, Tambunan.

....... Since camp ended, I haven't got the REAL time to relax and just blog about the camp. Only "now", i got the time and chance to write this blog down. :) (This post is quite lengthy but anyway, happy + blessed reading!)

On the 9th, after my lab session finished around 4PM, we headed for Sis Ju's house before departing to Tambunan for the camp. I really THANK GOD that our lab finished sooner than what i'd expected. We reached there just in time for the night open service to start. The camp was great! I believe everyone was blessed and God has been so good all along the camp. A good place to stay, delicious food (the cook was really good! and i'm quite an eater.) and new sisters and brothers in Christ that I came to know too! I was having great flu a week before the camp and again, thank God, my flu was subsiding by the time camp start.

Here's the things that we all learned (information) from the camp that motivates us to be who God wants us to be (transformation)... And as usual, imma write it in numbering form for easy reading. :)

1. What happen when Jesus is here? (Mark 2:1-12)
Because Jesus is here, we have the Word of God with us. We always receive His words. THAT is much more of a big deal than witnessing or experiencing miracles. Miracles are temporary while God's Word never ceases. Nothing can beat God' promise. 2011 years ago Jesus proclaimed the gospel and guess what? He's still doing it now! Why? Because HE is with us (Did someone just said Emanuel?)
So yes, God is with us. Question is, why is that sometimes we are acting like He is not with us?

Verse 3: It describes 4 friends who helped their sick friend to meet Jesus for healing. We, Christians, have to be like the 4 friends and NOT the other way round. Christians nowadays are focusing soooo much on people's or their friend's differences and not their needs of knowing Christ. (their religion backgrounds, which denominations, and the list goes on...) We shouldn't be doing that. Don't build barriers. Build bridges. Because the differences and other stuffs doesn't really matter since the most important thing is that, Jesus is there.

Two is better than one. There are many believers who are anti-social. They prefer the idea of being alone rather than mixing with people. Yet, in some cases, they like to see people who are active in church. For example, a young man who are anti-social likes to see active young ladies in church. They will grab such active people by hooking up with them or dating or etc. But not only this, they will ask the girl to be like them as well, who are anti-social. Another example, guy who is a believer but often finds himself angry or jealous or uncomfortable when seeing his partner being friendly or ministering actively. (the root for this example probably due to insecurity or possessive characteristic. So watch yourself out.) Furthermore, marriage shouldn't be with such a people. Both partners should be complementing each other, not canceling each other out. They should not be a stumbling block when it comes to ministry and even with your relationship with God.

Verse 5: This verse shows that when Jesus is there, the critics or religious people will also follow closely behind. Simply don't give up when you get offended because God is with us. The critics may be even from the church leaders. But don't be discouraged. Don't be too sensitive. In ministry, there must be people who's gonna bad-mouth about you. But don't worry, God is with us!

Verse 10: It says that Jesus has the authority to forgive our sins.
When we are already forgiven, we will celebrate it with singing and dancing. People who don't express their joy (e.g. church service) don't feel that they are sinful enough to confess and think that they are not worthy enough to go to hell. Arrogance.
We believers sing and dance for Him. No other reason but Jesus. Many people spend a lot of $money$ to cleanse their sins (e.g. rituals, holy places/lands). But in the reality: Only Jesus can forgive us. If we always realize that we, the unworthy, are forgiven by God, we will always celebrate it!

2. True worship (Matthew 2)
True worshippers are not passive but active. The journey of the wise men to meet baby Jesus in Bethlehem takes about 2 years. These wise men came to find baby Jesus only to worship Him, because they know Jesus is the Messiah.Truw worship experience extraordinary experiences. True worshipper who worship in Spirit and in truth will not sit around and wait. He/she will be active, not spoon-fed.
Verse 2: The wise men were asking around about the birth of King of Jews until the whole Jerusalem knew about their question.

Change of the heart is essential in true worship. A true worshipper realise who he is. One who only knows God's words but doesn't execute them will only be deceiving himself, like the Pharisees.

3. God is love but love is not God (1 Kor 14:1-5)
A person filled with God's love always think about how he/she can give. A mature believer learns how to love and how to forgive. Believers who has spiritual strength (kekuatan rohani), is able to forgive eventhough they are persecuted even 'till death. True love is willing to take the first step of openess (keterbukaan) in order to forgive and to give. Learn to love, bless and pray for your parents. When we strive to learn and seek God's love, we will have the chance to bless people!

4. The vine and the branches (Yohanes 15:1-8)
Don't do things that doesn't bear any fruits (spiritually) or results. Every branches that bears no fruit will be cut off by God Himself.
There are 3 stages of growth: Fruitless --> Bears fruit --> Fruitful
There are a lot of people who are like accesories (anting-anting), not the fruitful branches (ranting-ranting),
It is impossible for people to grow spiritually without God's words.
Verse 4: This verse says and remind us that, wherever we are, whatever we do, be reminded of how God is with you! Talk to God constantly. (pray without ceasing.)
DO NOT dwell in performing or doing church activities alone! But remain in Him so that you may grow from the inside out. It is essential to have an intimate relationship with God in order to grow spiritually in Him. Thus, being born-again is important for believers. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Ok, lets read it again... Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8)
Let this scripture sinks into our spirit and be amazed by how God work when we draw near to Him. :)
If we do not have a close relationship with God, we will experience boredom in life. We need to do something about it (e.g. pray), not God. It is US who follow God, not God who follow us.
When we are fruitful, we are giving glory to God!

Personal thought:
As i end this post, my simple prayer would be that none of us be astrayed from the ONE truth that sets us free. I pray that although many of us come from different backgrounds, let's stay united in prayer. Let's focus on what unite us. I just feel that the clock is ticking quite sooner than we thought 'till Jesus' second coming. It has been going on in my mind for some time now so i might as well share this here. I feel that there is seriously no time to waste. This year is Jubilee Year for Malaysia, as we all know. Last year's at Malaysia Day Celebration in Holy Seal City Mall, God's message has been: "Consecrate yourself." Amen.

Be blessed! ^^

The story of my 21st birthday.

Wow... Had a great night tonight! I believe all the good things come form You, Lord. ^^ Thank You Papa for everything. For my friends whom I dined with just now and for all the things they've done until giving me a surprise in Grace Point Memorial Park ! Honestly, I had no idea nor hint that they were doing this behind my back. Here's what happen...

Mel picked me up at home and I thought there were only 3 of us but it turned out to be four of us (plus Geraldine!). We went for dinner at Upperstar in Lintas and couldn't even finish our meal. When we waited for our orders to arrive, Mel and Eca went out to buy reload credit. Me and Gurl waited and waited. They took a long time... (After the surprise: it turns out that they were out buying the cake.) I even offered Mel to drive to our next destination but for the 1st time ever, she refused me driving. (For your info, Mel NEVER say 'no' when I offered to drive. she likes being the passenger i guess. xD)

We went to Taman Perdana around 9something for a short while since it closes at 10PM. IF i've known that we're going there, I wouldn't be wearing heels. It irritates me so much that I took 'em of and walk while we were in Taman Perdana. (Yeah, I don't like having blister. Ouch.)

After that, we went to Grace Point Memorial Park. There, the surprise was executed by Mel & Eca & Gurl (but Gurl got surprised herself by them). I was even more surprised when they gave me presents. (Awwww....) i love it. =)

Oh, and the lists go on and on.. But I'm glad we spent quality time together. =)
Gurl & I

Yum yum...

I miss dad now. He's outstation and only will be coming back on Monday (tomorrow). I wanna have dinner with my family. =) Thank You Lord for You are so so soooo good... I remember in bible that says everything has its own season. There are season to cry, to laugh, to be silent, to speak, to sow, to reap and so on... (Ecclesiastes 3) I guess this day is the season to rejoice. So when every season has passed, let's prepare for another season (which are yet to be revealed)
Be blessed!

I LOVE HIM!

"For God so loved the world that He give His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

My personal sharing:
I attended a wedding just now with dad. On the stage background, it was written - "Love is patient, kind and never gives up. Love never fails." Love between human is something valuable. BUT, NO earthly love on this earth can ever, and i mean EVER replace God's love for me and you. No earthly love can be compared to God's love. That's something big, and i really mean it BIIIGGG.

I feel like I'm not worthy to post this video because I know I'm a sinner. And knowing that Jesus died for me so that I can be saved, I feel *speechless*.
Utterly speechless. But I'm posting this because this love must be known by all people (because Jesus has paid the price!). My gratitude for Him overflows and keep overflowing. Thank You, Lord Jesus...

Its been 3 years... but I love Him strongly as the day passes by... Thank You Lord... =')
